Senate Bill 225: Alternative Therapies instead of Opioids

As some of you may know, there is a new bill SB 225 introduced in the DE Senate. This bill will prohibit limits on physical therapy and chiropractic care, require continuing education in regards to opioids, and most importantly it creates a pilot program in the DE employee health care plan that allows the use of massage therapy, acupuncture, and yoga for the treatment of back pain. This will allow massage to be covered by the state health plan for back pain as an alternative to opioids. We are looking for support from as many people as possible. Dustyn Thompson, our government relations chair, has created an email campaign so you can easily fill in your info and send an email to your representative. Just click the second link and fill in your info and send to show your support of the bill. You can also share it with as many people as possible so we can get this bill passed.
